Your Burgundy Wine Tour Starting Point

Your Burgundy full day wine tour can start in Lyon. We’ll provide train tickets (included) for a fast and comfortable ride to the region, or you can select a private transfer option at checkout.

Alternatively, you can choose to start the tour in Mâcon, which is easily accessible by TGV from Paris (Train Station: Mâcon Loché TGV – approx. 1h40).Train tickets from Paris are not included.

What to Expect on Your Burgundy Food & Wine Tour

Spend a full day exploring the hidden side of Southern Burgundy with a passionate local Insider.

You'll enjoy at least four wine stops throughout the day — a mix of independent wineries, cooperatives, or even a scenic tasting right in the vines. At each stop, expect generous tastings (minimum 4 wines per stop).

One of the highlights of the day is a visit to the remarkable home of Philippe — a former winemaker with an extraordinary private wine cellar and a fascinating new role as a druid.

Along the way, your Insider will also guide you to some of the region’s lesser-known gems: a hilltop chapel, medieval ruins, or even a unique goat cheese farm into a former Cluniac priory and celtic site where the cheese is only sold on-site to those who make the journey.

For lunch, the regular tour includes a meal at a local restaurant featuring fresh, seasonal dishes. But if you’re in the mood for something more special, we highly recommend selecting the countryside picnic option at checkout. You’ll enjoy a chic moment in the vines with local wine, fresh produce, and views that speak for themselves.
Even if you opt for the restaurant, we’ll make time (weather permitting) to stop somewhere scenic, open a bottle or two, and share a few bites — the Burgundy way.

At the end of the day, we’ll get you back to Lyon — by train or private car, depending on the option selected.
