From Farm to Table: A Culinary Day in Lyon

Spend the day between countryside and city center, farms and kitchens, on this food experience in Lyon. Meet local producers, enjoy a traditional lunch in a château and take a cooking class with a Chef. 1 300€ for 1 to 3 people, 150€ per extra person.


This immersive full-day experience starts in Lyon countryside, where we will pick you up to drive to countryside. There, you’ll meet the people who keep the region’s culinary traditions alive : market gardeners, poultry and cattle farmers. Your Insider will take you on a behind-the-scenes visit of their farms, where you’ll walk the land, hear their stories, and shop for fresh, seasonal ingredients.

For lunch, we’ll share a traditional mâchon in an historical Chateau — a rustic Lyonnais-style meal once enjoyed by silk workers after their shifts. Think charcuterie, local cheese, warm dishes, and wine: simple, generous, and full of local flavor.

In the afternoon, we’ll head back to Lyon’s historic center, where a private chef welcomes you into a stunning 400m² apartment kitchen. With their guidance, you’ll cook a menu inspired by the day’s harvest and infused with Lyonnais tradition. Then sit down together to enjoy your creations — paired, of course, with local wines.
